What We're All About

Our process is based around a love of food! We focus on nutrition education, cooking skills, and building life long habits. 

 

Deeply rooted in the CrossFit methodology, we're interested in creating work capacity across broad time and modal domains, across the years of our life - ie HEALTH. 

You'll learn how to feed yourself like royalty with the most delicious, luxurious, nutritious foods on earth. Our meals are based around the natural whole foods our ancestors have been consuming for millions of years. 

We use science-backed, evidence based principles to uncover the best version of you!

CrossFit’s theoretical hierarchy for the development of an athlete begins with nutrition at the base and moves to metabolic conditioning, gymnastics, weightlifting, and finally, sport. The foundation of fitness and health is nutrition because how we eat either supports or undermines our fitness over time. Eating is something we are guaranteed to do frequently throughout our lives, and the choices we make about what, how much, and when to eat determine how we look, feel, think, sleep, learn, move, and thrive (or not) in every area of our lives. Nutrition is perhaps the most potent variable in determining health, which is why it forms the base of the pyramid. With that context in mind, it’s important to note that the cellular and molecular adaptations that result from what we eat either support or detract from our fitness. Whether the goal is avoiding chronic disease or performing athletically at the highest level, nutrition is the critical and foundational piece of the puzzle. Watch this conversation with Jocelyn Rylee, a Level 4 coach with a master of science in human nutrition, to learn what needs to happen at the bottom of the pyramid to get the best results for overall health and performance. Jocelyn has been doing CrossFit since 2008 and has been deeply involved in the community ever since. She has completed specialties in endurance, gymnastics, competition, and weightlifting. She also holds the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning designation and is an NCCP level 2 Olympic weightlifting coach.
